The Black Decameron (extended)
The composer comments: "I took a story from the book The Black Decameron by Leon Frobenius, a sociologist and scientist who went to Africa to study the culture of that continent in the early twentieth century.
The Black Decameron, together with the Liège Concerto, is one of the pieces of music that marked the composer's shift in aesthetic vision towards a "new simplicity" in the early eighties.
The composer has composed -between January 18 and 21, 2021- three introductions to each of the movements that are recommended to be performed together with the original work.
